Nigel Humphries is an award-winning U.K. based artist.

   Nigel has always loved to draw and paint.  From as far back as     he can remember he loved painting dinosaurs, super hereos         and anything that sparked his imagination.

  After Many years devoting his time to his love of drumming and    Music, he decided to focus his attention once again on Art.            After experimenting with various subject matter nigel found          that he was drawn to still life. This led him to study the works        and techniques of the old masters and apply some of those          methods to his own style of  Painting.
 

  He started his journey painting still life, replacing apples and        pears with bubblegums and sweets and exhibited these works      at numerous exhibitions where they proved to be very popular.    As Nigel’s creativity expanded, he started to paint tin toys and    pop vinyl in his work and has in recent time made soft toys the      focus of his attention.

  Nigel loves to paint from life and applies various layers until        the characters finally emerge from the canvas. In 2016 he            approached Washington Green Fine Art Publishing and                  submitted a number of still life paintings to them.

  After seeing his original work, they invited him to take part in        their Annual “In-Site” art competition.  Nigel’s work sold out at    this Exhibition and he was awarded the “People’s Choice              Award” by Castle Fine Art Collectors. Subsequently he was            offered a publishing Contract by Washington Green.

  In 2026 Nigel went on to become a self published artist and all    future works can now be purchased direct from his studio via        this website. Previous works are still available via Castle Fine        Art Galleries.
